Privacy Policy
Catalyst Games (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Crazzy Ludo mobile application (the “App”) and the crazzyludo.com marketing site. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the App. The public website does not offer an email waitlist; launch updates are offered through Google Play pre-registration, which is governed by Google’s policies when you use that service. By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information we collect
1.1 You provide
- In-app display name — if you create or edit a player profile or join online play, we process the name you choose so matches and lobbies can show it.
- Custom sound files — if you use features that let you pick audio from your device (for example custom sound effects), those files are read only when you select them; we do not scan your full media library.
1.2 Automatically from your device
- Device identifiers for our game services — to support guest sign-in and sync certain game data with our servers, the App may send a stable device-scoped identifier (for example Android ID on Android, or an equivalent vendor identifier on iOS where applicable). This is used to recognize your device for authentication and gameplay services, not to sell your data.
- Anonymous installation ID — a random ID stored on the device is used as an anonymous analytics and diagnostics identifier where enabled. It is separate from the device ID used for sign-in.
- App settings and local progress — preferences, tutorial flags, cached stats, and similar data may be stored locally on your device (for example via platform storage APIs).
- Diagnostics and usage — when Firebase is enabled in your build, we may collect analytics events (such as app opens and match lifecycle events), crash reports, and related technical data (device model, OS version, app version).
- Gameplay logs (optional) — when Firebase is enabled, compressed gameplay log files may be uploaded to our Firebase Storage bucket for debugging and product improvement. Logs are associated with the anonymous installation ID path described in our implementation, not with your real name unless you chose a display name that identifies you.
1.3 Our game servers
When you use online or server-backed features, we process data needed to run those features: for example guest authentication tokens, room codes, match state, and aggregated stats you see on your profile. Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) where our services are configured to use TLS.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and improve the App and game modes (including AI, local play, team play, and online play).
- To authenticate guest sessions and associate gameplay with your device/session as needed for multiplayer and stats.
- To deliver remote configuration (for example feature flags) when Firebase Remote Config is enabled.
- To measure engagement, diagnose crashes, and fix bugs when Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics are enabled.
- To comply with law or protect rights and safety where required.
3. Third-party services
Depending on configuration, the App may use services operated by third parties, including:
- Google Firebase (Google LLC) — Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config, and Firebase Storage. Google’s use of information is described in Google’s policies and Firebase documentation. See Firebase Privacy and Security and Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Play (Google LLC) — pre-registration, purchases, and installs are processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy and Google Play terms.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Server-side and cloud retention periods depend on our backend and Firebase project settings. Local data remains on your device until you delete the App or clear app data, subject to your device settings.
5. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can stop collection of certain data by uninstalling the App or revoking permissions in your device settings where applicable.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise those rights where they apply.
- Analytics and advertising IDs on Android can often be limited or reset via system settings (for example Google settings); crash reporting may be tied to your app installation until you reinstall or reset identifiers as allowed by the platform.
7. International transfers
If you are outside the country where our servers or Google’s services are located, your information may be processed in other countries. We rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
